Data Analyst (Japanese) – Financial Research

Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst (Japanese) to support financial research and data analysis activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong Japanese language proficiency (minimum JLPT E2/N2 level preferred), excellent analytical skills, and the ability to conduct web-based research on global companies. This role involves researching financial information, interpreting data, maintaining client databases, and collaborating with international stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct web research on financial and corporate information from global sources.
Analyze and interpret financial research documents accurately.
Collect, validate, and tag research data into client systems.
Build and maintain high-quality financial databases.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of research outputs.
Interact with clients to clarify requirements and provide research support.
Follow financial regulations, market practices, and internal quality standards.
Work effectively in rotational shifts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Required Skills

Japanese language proficiency (Minimum JLPT E2/N2 level preferred).
Strong web research and analytical skills.
Good understanding of financial documents and data interpretation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline (B.Com, BAF, BMS, MBA Finance preferred). Candidates from other streams with strong Japanese language proficiency may also apply.
Experience in financial research, data analysis, research analytics, or related domains is preferred.
Basic understanding of supply chain concepts will be an added advantage.
