Job Description for QC Lead Role:
The R2R QC Lead is responsible for managing and overseeing the quality control framework within the Record to Report process. This role ensures compliance with the agreed Risk and Control Matrix (RACM) and drives continuous improvement in financial accuracy and control effectiveness. The QC Lead will lead a team of QC Analysts, perform monthly QC testing across all R2R activities, and act as the primary liaison with clients and internal governance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage monthly QC testing for R2R activities including:
o Journal Entries
o Account Reconciliations
o Month-End Close Activities
o Fixed Assets
o Inventory Accounting
o Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS)
o Intercompany Transactions
• Ensure QC testing aligns with RACM and review control framework regularly.
• Identify process control gaps and propose additional controls to strengthen compliance.
• Discuss QC observations with clients, agree on action points, and implement corrective measures with delivery teams.
• Create and manage CAPA (Corrective Action and Preventive Action) for all QC observations.
• Drive monthly error/rejection analysis and calibrate findings with delivery teams.
• Perform RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for identified errors and ensure preventive measures are implemented.
• Collaborate with internal DERM (Delivery Excellence and Risk Management) team to review QC observations and obtain Management Assertion (MA) sign-off from Corporate.
• Lead and mentor a team of 2–3 QC Analysts, ensuring effective workload management and skill development.
• Support audit readiness (Internal audits as well Statutory audits) and maintain documentation for compliance and governance.
Skill and Experience:
• Strong expertise in Record to Report processes and related controls.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and internal control frameworks.
• Experience in quality assurance, risk management, and compliance within F&A.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to lead a team and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for client discussions and governance reporting.
• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in R2R processes, with at least 3 years in a QC role.
• Qualification B.com plus CA/CA inter/MBA

• The QC Lead will act as the custodian of the control framework and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Expected to work closely with clients, delivery teams, and governance functions to ensure robust control mechanisms.
• High accountability for timely QC testing, error analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
• Opportunity to influence process improvements, automation of QC checks, and strengthen risk management practices.
• Must demonstrate leadership qualities and ability to manage a small team effectively.
