RTR Team Lead
Location: Kolkata
Experience: 8–10 Years
Education
Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10+2+3).
B.Com / M.Com / CA preferred, or Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance & Accounting.
ERP certification or strong ERP proficiency preferred.

Role Purpose
The RTR Team Lead will manage complex Record to Report processes and exception transactions, ensuring accuracy, timely completion, and adherence to customer requirements. The role involves supervising team activities, performing quality checks, managing stakeholders, preparing reports and dashboards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Handle complex RTR activities including journal entries, month-end closing, reporting, fixed asset and lease accounting.
Perform cash and balance sheet reconciliations and drive open items to closure.
Supervise and support Sr. Associates and SMEs.
Conduct quality checks and provide performance feedback.
Monitor TAT, accuracy, compliance, and process controls.
Identify process gaps, errors, and improvement opportunities.
Lead Lean Six Sigma / continuous improvement projects.
Prepare dashboards and reports using advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
Provide daily/hourly status updates and communicate progress to stakeholders.
Participate in governance calls and present process analytics.
Identify internal control gaps and coordinate risk mitigation.
Support new joiners through knowledge sharing and mentoring.
Ensure activities are completed within stringent month-end and quarter-end timelines.
Technical Requirements
Expert knowledge of SAP or JD Edwards.
Advanced MS Excel skills including IF, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Cell References, Ageing, Date Formatting and Text-to-Table.
Strong PowerPoint presentation and reporting skills.
Good working knowledge of MS Word.
Experience & Competencies
8–10 years of experience in Record to Report / Finance & Accounting.
Minimum 3 years as an SME in complex RTR processes.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory/team-handling experience.
Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong understanding of Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement.
High accountability, self-motivation, and time-management skills.
Work Requirements
5 days' work from office is mandatory.
Willingness to work extended hours during month-end/quarter-end close, backlogs, or critical deliverables.
One weekend working may be required during the month-end close cycle.
Prior approval is required for planned leave.
