Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Regulatory Reporting Analyst to lead and oversee regulatory reporting activities within a controlled and regulated financial services environment.

The role is responsible for ensuring the completeness, accuracy, governance, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery of regulatory reporting outputs across Capital, Liquidity, IFRS 9, Credit Risk, and related regulatory reporting processes.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Capital Adequacy, CET1, Tier 1 Capital, Risk Weighted Assets (RWA), Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR), PRA reporting, COREP, regulatory submissions, data aggregation, reconciliations, controls, and regulatory governance.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Reporting & Review

  • Lead and oversee the delivery of regulatory reporting activities within a regulated financial services environment.

  • Review and challenge regulatory reporting outputs to ensure completeness, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Take day-to-day responsibility for daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly regulatory reporting processes.

  • Ensure timely delivery of regulatory submissions in accordance with defined processes, controls, governance standards, and regulatory deadlines.

  • Prepare, review, and analyze reconciliations, controls, adjustments, and reporting outputs across the end-to-end reporting process.

  • Ensure regulatory reporting outputs are supported by appropriate documentation, controls, and audit trails.

  • Review data quality, reporting assumptions, methodologies, and regulatory calculations.

Capital Adequacy & Capital Reporting

  • Perform and review capital adequacy analysis.

  • Review and challenge capital reporting outputs, including COREP returns, Own Funds, Risk Weighted Assets (RWA), and Capital Ratios.

  • Analyze CET1, Tier 1, and Total Capital requirements and reporting.

  • Review capital reconciliations, consolidation adjustments, and regulatory calculations.

Liquidity Reporting

  • Support the production, review, and submission of liquidity regulatory returns across PRA and ECB requirements.

  • Manage and review weekly, monthly, and quarterly liquidity reporting cycles.

  • Support the end-to-end liquidity reporting lifecycle, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and traceability.

  • Collect and validate data from Treasury, Risk, Finance, and source systems.

  • Support preparation and review of liquidity regulatory returns, including PRA110, LCR, NSFR, and ALM.

Regulatory Submissions & Bank of England Reporting

  • Support preparation and submission of Bank of England and PRA regulatory returns.

  • Ensure regulatory submissions are accurate, complete, appropriately reviewed, and delivered within defined timelines.

  • Understand regulatory reporting requirements and assess their operational impact on processes, data, controls, and reporting outputs.

  • Support responses to regulatory queries and information requests.

  • Maintain appropriate evidence and documentation for regulatory submissions and audits.

IFRS 9, Credit Risk & Market Risk Reporting

  • Support end-to-end IFRS 9 model execution and monitoring.

  • Support Finance and Risk reporting activities related to IFRS 9.

  • Perform data aggregation, validation, reconciliation, and analysis for regulatory and risk reporting.

  • Support Credit Risk and Market Risk reporting processes.

  • Review reporting outputs, investigate anomalies, and ensure data integrity.

  • Assess the impact of reporting methodology and regulatory changes on existing processes.

Controls, Governance & Compliance

  • Perform detailed review and challenge of data quality, reporting assumptions, methodologies, and calculations.

  • Investigate and resolve complex reporting issues, anomalies, reconciliation differences, and control breaks.

  • Escalate material reporting risks and issues to appropriate stakeholders.

  • Manage governance and sign-off processes.

Manual Adjustments & Analytical Review

  • Prepare and own required manual adjustments.

  • Ensure adjustments are accurately calculated, appropriately approved, and supported by clear documentation.

  • Prepare and review management packs and reporting analysis.

  • Perform variance analysis and provide clear commentary on significant movements.

  • Identify key risks, issues, trends, and reporting movements for senior stakeholders.

Change Management & Process Improvement

  • Assess the operational impact of regulatory, process, and system changes affecting regulatory reporting.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and control enhancement.

  • Support initiatives to improve reporting efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and operational resilience.

  • Strengthen reporting controls and reduce operational risks.

  • Support implementation of new regulatory reporting requirements and process changes.

Team Management & Oversight

  • Provide day-to-day supervision and task allocation to junior team members.

  • Provide technical guidance, training, coaching, and review support.

  • Review work completed by junior colleagues to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong experience in Regulatory Reporting within Banking, Financial Services, or a regulated financial environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Capital Adequacy.

  • Experience with CET1, Tier 1 Capital, Total Capital, and RWA.

  • Strong understanding of Liquidity Ratios including LCR and NSFR.

  • Experience performing capital adequacy analysis.

  • Knowledge of regulatory submission formats, requirements, and timelines.

  • Strong experience in data aggregation, validation, and reconciliation for regulatory reporting.

  • Experience with regulatory controls, governance, and compliance.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • CET

Educational Qualification

  • Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10+2+3).

  • Qualified Accountant such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • FRM, CFA, or MBA Finance is preferred.

  • Degree in a quantitative subject such as Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is beneficial.

  • Ability to interact with Finance, Risk, Treasury, Operations, and other business stakeholders.
