Tax Accounting Lead
Role: Tax Accounting Lead
Location: Hyderabad
Experience: 8–12 Years
Shift: Night Shift
Education
Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10+2+3).
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
Master's in Taxation (MST), CA, CPA, CMA, or CMI certification is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end Sales & Use Tax accounting and compliance operations across multiple jurisdictions.
Ensure accurate preparation, review, and filing of indirect tax returns in compliance with applicable tax regulations.
Manage tax accounting activities, including reconciliation of tax accounts and maintenance of tax balances in the General Ledger.
Conduct technical tax research and provide guidance on changes in tax legislation and compliance requirements.
Own and manage tax service delivery, ensuring adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and quality standards.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing tax accounting team while driving operational excellence.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, auditors, and business leaders.
Oversee resource planning, workload allocation, and performance management within the tax function.
Drive continuous process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce compliance risks.
Act as the functional owner for Oracle ERP tax modules and collaborate with technology teams to optimize tax processes.
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate tax documentation and compliance reports.
Prepare management reports, dashboards, and tax analytics for leadership review.
Ensure compliance with corporate governance, internal controls, and statutory tax regulations.
Preferred Skills
Strong knowledge of Sales & Use Tax, Indirect Tax, and Tax Accounting principles.
Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP (Cloud/Fusion/EBS) and tax-related integrations.
Experience working in a shared services or BPO environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience driving finance transformation, automation, and process optimization initiatives.
Candidate Profile
8–12 years of progressive experience in Tax Accounting, Indirect Tax, or Corporate Tax functions.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience leading teams and managing tax operations.
Strong expertise in Sales & Use Tax compliance, tax accounting, reconciliations, and reporting.
Proven experience in Service Delivery Management, SLA governance, KPI tracking, and client management.
Advanced knowledge of Oracle ERP and tax infrastructure.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong leadership, people management, and customer relationship management skills.
Willingness to work in the Night Shift.
