Network Engineer

Location: Gandhinagar / Hyderabad
Experience: 1–5 Years

Job Summary

We are looking for a Network Engineer with 1–5 years of experience in networking or telecom operations. The candidate will be responsible for network provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of telecom services and network elements. Candidates with exposure to last-mile access networks, routers, switches, and telecom technologies will be preferred.

Education

B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Communication or Information Technology
Diploma in Electronics & Communication
BCA with relevant networking/telecom experience

Certifications

CCNA certification preferred
CCNA-trained candidates may also apply

Key Responsibilities

Provision and configure telecom services and network elements.
Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues.
Work with last-mile access networks, routers, switches, and other network elements.
Support telecom processes and network operations.
Work with LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure.
Understand and work with network topology, cabling, and fiber-optic infrastructure.
Assist with configuration and troubleshooting of telecom hardware and software applications.
Work on network technologies and protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SMTP, NTP, SNMP, and VoIP.
Support network environments involving MPLS, Metro Ethernet, ATM, and Frame Relay.
Coordinate with internal teams to resolve network and service-related issues.

Required Skills

Good networking and telecom knowledge.
Understanding of last-mile access networks and network elements.
Knowledge of telecom technologies such as FTTB, FTTN, VDSL, Copper, and GPON.
Understanding of switching systems, cabling, and fiber optics.
Knowledge of LAN/WAN/WLAN infrastructure.
Basic knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in rotational shifts, primarily night shifts.
Willingness to work from Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

Preferred Technical Exposure

Experience with Nokia, Juniper, or Cisco platforms and equipment such as 78xx, 65xx, routers, switches, and firewalls will be an added advantage.

Eligibility

1–5 years of relevant experience in Networking or Telecom.
Candidates must be willing to work in shifts.
Candidates applying for the Gandhinagar location should be willing to work from the Gandhinagar office.
Ex-TCS employees are not eligible to apply.
PAN and Date of Birth (DOB) are required for profile creation.
