Delivery Manager – UK Payroll
Location: Chennai
Experience: 12–15 Years
Shift: 12:30 PM IST to 11:30 PM IST
Work Schedule: Candidates should be comfortable with night and rotational shifts as required.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager – UK Payroll to lead large-scale payroll operations and ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery. The role requires strong expertise in end-to-end UK Payroll, statutory compliance, client management, vendor management, and people leadership. The candidate will manage multi-country payroll operations, senior client stakeholders, payroll vendors, audits, transitions, and continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end UK Payroll, covering Source to Gross, Gross to Net, Net to Disbursement, and GL processes.
Ensure compliance with UK payroll regulations and statutory requirements, including HMRC requirements.
Manage multi-country payroll operations in a vendor/partner-based environment, with UK Payroll experience mandatory.
Manage payroll vendors and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
Coordinate with internal teams including Help Desk, R2R, Application Maintenance, Technology, and Finance.
Manage and resolve payroll-related queries raised by clients, employees, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Lead high-performing HR and Payroll teams of 50+ members across multiple locations and countries.
Manage transitions and onboarding of new countries into the existing payroll scope.
Drive process improvements and ensure successful implementation of improvement initiatives.
Manage senior client stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships.
Conduct regular weekly, monthly, and quarterly governance and review meetings with clients and partners.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation, artifacts, and evidence.
Ensure adherence to payroll controls, governance, compliance, and service-level requirements.
Collaborate with clients, vendors, and technology teams to identify and resolve operational issues.
Monitor payroll performance, quality, accuracy, and compliance.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Experience
12–15 years of relevant experience in payroll operations and management.
Proven experience as a Payroll Manager, Delivery Manager, or similar leadership role.
Mandatory UK Payroll experience with strong statutory compliance knowledge.
Strong understanding of multi-location payroll, taxation, payroll controls, and balancing.
Experience managing teams of 50+ employees.
Experience managing teams across multiple locations, including international teams.
Strong experience managing senior client stakeholders and payroll partners/vendors.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership, supervisory, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
