Salary: RM 12,000 – RM 13,000 per month

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Analyst – Japanese Speaker to manage end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for invoice processing, payment execution, supplier reconciliation, month-end closing, compliance, and process improvements while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Process and validate PO, non-PO, contract-based invoices, prepayments, and down payments.
Verify, scan, and manage Accounts Payable documents for accurate processing.
Execute supplier payments and monitor payment schedules.
Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
Handle internal and external vendor queries within defined SLAs.
Support month-end closing activities, purchasing accruals, and AP reconciliations.
Prepare operational reports, KPI reports, and audit documentation.
Investigate payment issues and coordinate resolutions with relevant teams.
Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and internal controls.
Participate in system enhancements, process improvement initiatives, testing, and automation projects.
Maintain accurate process documentation and provide guidance to junior team members.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or MIA are an added advantage.
Minimum 2 years of Accounts Payable or transactional accounting experience.
Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
Experience with SAP or other ERP/Accounting systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
Good understanding of AP processes, financial controls, and compliance.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
