Senior Tester – Digital Quality Assurance
Petaling Jaya / Subang Jaya | Onsite | No Shift | RM 6,000 – RM 6,500 | Immediate Start | Malaysian Nationals Only
About the Role

As a Senior Tester, you’ll be the guardian of quality for our client’s digital products, ensuring every feature, function, and integration works flawlessly before it reaches users. You’ll collaborate with product managers, developers, and business units to deliver high-quality enhancements at speed, combining solid test planning with hands-on mobile and API testing. What You’ll Do
Own Quality Delivery: Ensure all products meet business requirements by planning, designing, and executing comprehensive tests—catching defects early and tracking them through to resolution.
Collaborate for Speed & Quality: Work side-by-side with product managers and developers to ship new features and enhancements that balance velocity with rock-solid reliability.
Coordinate End‑to‑End Testing: Partner with business units, system providers, and vendors to review requirements, agree on test strategies, and execute test plans that cover both functional and integration scenarios.
Test Across the Stack: Perform mobile testing on real devices and emulators, and conduct integrated API testing (Postman or similar) to verify backend services, data flows, and endpoints.
Evaluate & Report: Accurately evaluate test outcomes, log defects with clear steps and evidence, and present results to stakeholders in a way that drives informed decisions.
Automation & Process Improvement: Learn and contribute to test automation frameworks, maintain existing test suites, and support the QA Manager in implementing strategies that boost efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide Technical Guidance: Offer support and advice on test automation practices to project teams, ensuring successful delivery and knowledge sharing across the QA function.
What You’ll Bring
Experience: 5–6 years in software quality assurance, with hands-on involvement in test planning, test case design, defect management, and reporting.
Mobile Testing: Strong practical experience testing mobile applications across different platforms and devices.
API Testing: Proficient in backend testing—you’ve created and executed integrated API tests using tools like Postman, validating request/response, status codes, and data accuracy.
Scripting/Programming: Comfortable writing scripts or using programming languages to support testing or automation tasks.
Methodologies: Well-versed in both Agile and Waterfall delivery models; you adapt your approach to fit the project.
CI/CD Familiarity: You understand continuous integration and deployment pipelines and how testing fits into them.
Communication: Clear, concise, and collaborative—you can explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have: Knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks; you’re keen to grow your automation expertise.
Availability: Immediately available or able to join at very short notice.
Nationality: Open to Malaysian citizens only, in line with role requirements.
