Working Days: Monday to Friday (5 Days)

Shift: Permanent Night Shift (9:00 PM – 6:00 AM / 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Job Summary

Tech Mahindra is hiring Associate – Interpretation Support (Cantonese) for a healthcare interpretation process. In this role, you will provide real-time over-the-phone consecutive interpretation between English-speaking healthcare professionals and Cantonese-speaking patients in the US. The ideal candidate should have excellent language proficiency, strong listening skills, and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive healthcare conversations professionally.

Key Responsibilities

Provide accurate, real-time consecutive interpretation between English and Cantonese speakers.
Support communication between doctors, healthcare professionals, and patients over live phone calls.
Interpret conversations without adding, omitting, or changing the speaker's intended meaning.
Maintain professionalism, neutrality, and confidentiality during all interactions.
Handle healthcare, insurance, emergency, and customer support-related conversations.
Follow interpretation protocols, quality standards, and company policies.
Participate in training, coaching sessions, and quality reviews.
Maintain schedule adherence and work effectively in a remote environment.

Required Skills

Fluency in Cantonese and English (spoken, listening, reading, and comprehension).
Excellent communication and active listening skills.
Strong interpretation and memory retention abilities.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain meaning-for-meaning interpretation.
Ability to remain calm, professional, and unbiased during sensitive conversations.
Comfortable working independently from home.

Eligibility

High School, SPM, Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree.
Freshers and experienced candidates are welcome to apply.
Experience in interpretation, translation, healthcare, customer service, BPO, or contact center is an advantage.
Must be willing to work permanent night shifts.
Must have a stable internet connection and suitable work-from-home setup.
Candidates must complete the Cantonese assessment before the interview process.

Compensation & Benefits

Basic Salary: RM4,000 – RM4,500
Negotiable Salary: Up to RM5,000 (based on experience)
Wi-Fi Allowance: RM150/month
Night Shift Allowance: RM25 per night
Performance Incentives
Renewable Contract with Work From Home setup.
