Designation: Associate – Interpretation Support
Language: Cantonese & English
Work Mode: Work From Home
Employment Type: Contract (6 Months + 12 Months Renewable)
Working Days: Monday – Friday (5 Days a Week)
Weekly Off: Saturday & Sunday
Shift: Permanent Night Shift

About the Role
Tech Mahindra is looking for Cantonese & English-speaking Interpretation Support Associates to join its Healthcare Interpretation project.
In this role, you will provide real-time consecutive over-the-phone interpretation between healthcare professionals in the United States and Cantonese-speaking patients. You will ensure accurate communication while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and neutrality during every interaction.
Fresh graduates with excellent language skills are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Provide real-time consecutive interpretation between English-speaking healthcare professionals and Cantonese-speaking patients.
Accurately interpret conversations without adding, omitting, or changing the intended meaning.
Maintain first-person interpretation throughout live conversations.
Support healthcare-related conversations involving doctors, nurses, patients, insurance providers, and medical staff.
Handle sensitive and emergency healthcare calls professionally.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with interpreter ethics and company policies.
Remain neutral and avoid providing personal opinions or advice.
Attend training sessions, coaching, quality reviews, and feedback sessions.
Maintain schedule adherence, attendance, and performance KPIs.
Work independently in a remote work environment.
Eligibility Criteria
Education
High School Graduate / SPM
Diploma
Bachelor's Degree
Experience
0–5 Years
Freshers are welcome to apply.
Candidates with experience in Interpretation, Translation, Healthcare, Customer Service, Contact Center, BPO, Journalism, or Media will have an added advantage.
Language Requirements
Fluent in Cantonese
Strong English communication skills (B2+/C1 preferred)
Excellent listening, speaking, reading, and comprehension skills
