Job Title: Mainframe Operations & Production Control

Work Location: BGC Taguig or Makati

Shift: Night Shift / Shifting (Flexibility Required)

Work Set-up: RTWO / Hybrid

Salary Range:

L1 (3–5 years): 40K–70K

L2 (10+ years): 150K

Years of Experience Required

L1:

3–5 years of experience in Mainframe Console Operations, Production Control, Batch Monitoring & Scheduling, and Pager Duty

L3:

10+ years of experience in Mainframe Console Operations, Production Control, Batch Monitoring & Scheduling, and Pager Duty

Technical Requirements

Strong understanding of IBM Mainframe hardware, consoles, HMC, SE, z/OS, DB2, CICS, IMS DB/DC & IBM utilities

Experience in Batch Monitoring, Scheduling, and ad hoc changes using relevant tools

Experience with Autosys is an advantage

Experience in User ID and Access Management / IAM using RACF

Experience in Mainframe Version Control and Release Management tools

Monitor batch flows and ensure timely completion of endpoints/milestones

Detect delays or bottlenecks using proprietary/vendor tools and resolve or escalate as needed

Track incoming and outgoing transmissions to ensure deadlines are met

Monitor real-time performance of the computing environment

Perform scheduled and unscheduled system shutdown/startup (IPL) using HMS, SE, Consoles; conduct post-IPL verification

Execute and verify system configuration changes during maintenance/shutdown windows

Respond to hardware faults requiring escalation to external vendors; create reports via problem-tracking tools

Respond to console messages and alerts requiring action

Other Requirements

Willing to work in Taguig or Makati

Stable employment history (no frequent short-term roles)

Not a current or former employee of restricted organizations

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Provide 24/7 console monitoring of Mainframe infrastructure and application systems (hardware, batch schedules, interfaces, DB table spaces)

Respond to console messages & alerts and take corrective actions

Perform IPL, POR, region bounce

Coordinate with IBM and other vendors for incident resolution

Identify, report, troubleshoot, and escalate incidents, problems, and negative trends

Execute and monitor production, test, and demand batch jobs (scheduling, execution, reruns, cancellations, hold/release, reporting)

Monitor job processing and resolve/escalate incomplete jobs

Start and shut down online/interactive systems per SOP or demand

Handle Mainframe file transfers and transmission management

Oversee Mainframe output, printing, and report management

Manage Mainframe code promotion and release activities
