Senior Staff Accountant / Accounting Supervisor

Location: Taguig, Metro Manila

Work Setup: Hybrid after training

Training: 100% Onsite for approximately 2–3 months

Schedule: Night Shift

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant / Accounting Supervisor to join a dynamic finance and accounting team in Taguig.

The successful candidate will handle general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliation, financial reporting, month-end closing, financial analysis, and large-volume financial data manipulation.

This role is ideal for accounting professionals with strong technical accounting knowledge and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, particularly Pivot Tables and Excel functions.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and post accurate journal entries
Perform general ledger management and account reconciliations
Prepare and analyze Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, and Profit & Loss reports
Perform bank reconciliations, preferably including multi-currency accounts
Prepare and record accruals, accrued revenues, unearned revenue, and adjusting journal entries
Analyze financial results, trends, and variances
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close
Prepare invoices and assist with financial reporting requirements
Work with large financial datasets and perform data manipulation and analysis
Prepare financial schedules and supporting documentation for audits
Assist with internal and external audit requirements
Identify discrepancies and investigate accounting variances
Support process improvement, reporting automation, and finance initiatives
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related accounting-focused course – required
At least 4 years of accounting experience
Strong knowledge of general accounting principles
Solid experience preparing and posting journal entries
Strong knowledge of General Ledger (GL) management
Experience with account reconciliation and bank reconciliation
Strong understanding of Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, and P&L
Experience with accruals and adjusting journal entries
Strong financial reporting and analysis skills
Demonstrated experience handling large datasets and financial data manipulation – required
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel – required
Strong practical knowledge of Pivot Tables – required
Familiarity with Excel functions used for financial analysis
Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP or similar platforms
Strong written and verbal communication skills

CPA Requirement

CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory. Non-CPA candidates with strong accounting experience and technical knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Compensation

Salary Package
Signing Bonus: ₱40,000
