As an Assistant Vice President, Mortgage Operations within the Private Bank Mortgage Operations team, you will lead the end-to-end mortgage origination operating rhythm for a portfolio of complex loans. You will partner closely with stakeholders across the origination lifecycle to ensure accurate execution, effective risk management, and timely funding. You will coach and develop an operations team, promote strong controls, and raise service quality through process improvement. You will help deliver an exceptional client experience through clear communication and reliable fol
low-through.
Job responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end mortgage origination operations from initial file intake through closing and funding.
• Oversee daily pipeline management, prioritization, and issue escalation to support on-time delivery.
• Review complex files and apply subject matter expertise to nonstandard income, asset, and collateral scenarios.
• Partner with underwriting, processing, closing, and mortgage solutions teams to remove blockers and improve handoffs.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and control standards throughout the origination lifecycle.
• Maintain quality control standards, including documentation accuracy and audit readiness.
• Manage and develop an operations team through coaching, performance management, and skill building.
• Identify operational risks and implement corrective actions and sustainable process improvements.
• Produce clear status updates and metrics to support transparency and decision-making.
• Provide management coverage as needed, including serving as a backup for senior leadership.
• Supports 5-10 FTEs
