Accounts Payable Specialist (Japanese Bilingual)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support our Japan operations. This role focuses on end-to-end AP processes, vendor management, and ensuring accurate, compliant financial transactions in a fast-paced shared services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process high-volume invoices and expense reports using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Perform 3-way matching (PO, GR, Invoice) to ensure accuracy
Execute vendor payments (wire, ACH, checks) based on agreed terms
Support month-end close (accruals, reconciliations, journal entries)
Manage vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies in Japanese and English
Translate AP-related communications and documents

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
1–3+ years experience in Accounts Payable / P2P / General Accounting
Business-level Japanese proficiency (JLPT N1/N2 preferred; strong N3 considered)
Proficient in ERP systems and Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
