Work location: TP Ayala, Makati

Work set up and schedule: Onsite and Night

JD:

Inventory Staff Accountant

• Responsible for supporting accounting for inventory consumption during operations on ships & transfers between locations, including warehouses

• Supporting monthly, quarterly & yearly close & accurate reporting of inventory & reserve balances, including help with variance explanations

• Key functions include understanding & making journal entries, accounting for voyage & warehouse activity, preparing reconciliations, researching material variances, adhering to deadlines for close & reporting & communicating with operations to resolve issues.

Record inventory consumption & adjustments upon voyage completion

Record inventory activity for warehouses

Monthly close accruals, clean up & reclass JEs

Quarterly close split voyage accruals & variance explanations

Reconciliation preparation & research

Help with process improvement implementation efforts & make suggestions

Help with reserve assessment file preparation

Meet deadlines for close & reconciliations

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Education requirements: Accounting background/experience.

• Strong PC skills, software experience should include Excel (above average Excel skills preferred)

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent organizational and communication skills

• Flexible regarding peak time work requirements such as during close & working with individuals in different time zones

• Oracle experience preferred

• Cruise industry experience preferred

• CrunchTime/APEX systems experience preferred

• Inventory Accounting experience ( Reconciliation, inventory aging)

• Journal Entries
