We're Hiring: Senior Data Platform Engineer

Location: Ortigas, Pasig
Work Setup: Hybrid (Onsite 3x per week)
Work Schedule: Shifting (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Salary: Up to PHP 90,000
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 1 Year

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Platform Engineer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise data platforms. This role will play a critical part in building scalable data infrastructure, enabling advanced analytics capabilities, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Data Platform Development

Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure data pipelines and data lake/warehouse architectures.
Develop and optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency in cloud environments.
Lead the adoption of modern data engineering tools and frameworks such as Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data platform performance and reliability.

Solution Design & Delivery

Collaborate with business stakeholders and product delivery teams to understand data requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
Create high-level and detailed technical designs for data platform initiatives.
Develop microservices for data integration using TypeScript or Python.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.

Engineering Excellence

Apply best practices in coding, testing, deployment, and CI/CD automation.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including Scrum and Kanban events.
Stay updated with emerging trends in analytics engineering and recommend continuous improvements.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, or Software Engineering.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in architecture, design, and development of integrated systems.

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

Experience developing microservices using TypeScript or Python.

Familiarity with Databricks and modern data warehousing solutions.

Experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Experience working within Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

⭐ Experience with Azure DevOps.

⭐ Experience with Azure Cloud Services and CI/CD pipelines.

⭐ Certifications in Secure Coding, Scrum, DevOps, or related disciplines.

⭐ Experience working in teams of five or more members.

⭐ Experience collaborating with senior executives and multicultural teams.

Additional Requirements

Must have a stable employment history (not a job hopper).
Must not be currently or previously employed by the client.
