HR Specialist – Employee Relations & Case Management (US Shift)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HR Specialist / HRO Analyst to manage employee relations and HR disciplinary cases in a US HR environment. The role will have end-to-end ownership of employee relations cases, including attendance issues, call avoidance, job abandonment, unauthorized settlement, and other disciplinary matters.
The candidate will provide policy guidance to managers and employees, ensure accurate case documentation, support fair and consistent resolution, and maintain compliance with company policies and applicable US employment regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Case Management & Process Ownership
Manage the complete lifecycle of HR disciplinary and employee relations cases from initiation through resolution.
Handle cases related to attendance, call avoidance, job abandonment, unauthorized settlement, and other disciplinary matters.
Ensure cases are managed consistently with HR policies, processes, and legal requirements.
Manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting quality and turnaround-time expectations.
Policy Guidance & Support
Provide guidance to managers on HR policies and disciplinary procedures.
Interpret and apply HR policies consistently and fairly.
Support the development and updating of policies related to employee relations and disciplinary actions.
Ensure processes remain aligned with applicable US employment practices.
Communication & Documentation
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation for all employee relations cases.
Communicate professionally with managers, employees, and HR stakeholders.
Prepare reports and presentations on case trends, outcomes, and recommendations.
Handle client and employee calls as required.
Employee Support
Demonstrate empathy, active listening, and strong probing skills when handling employee concerns.
Explain HR processes and disciplinary procedures clearly to employees.
Maintain objectivity and professionalism while handling sensitive employee matters.
Critical Thinking & Decision Making
Analyze complex employee relations cases and determine appropriate actions.
Apply sound judgment based on HR policies, previous cases, and applicable legal guidelines.
Work independently and resolve cases within defined timelines.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Collaborate with HR teams, managers, and other business stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to improve HR case management processes.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to HR processes and tools.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field.
Postgraduate qualification in HR or a related discipline is desirable.
5–8 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in Employee Relations, HR Case Management, or HRO.
Experience handling complex disciplinary cases from initiation to closure.
Experience supporting a US HR environment is preferred.
Familiarity with US employment laws and HR best practices.
