Job Title: Category Manager – Sourcing & Procurement
Location: Chennai
Experience: 8–15 Years
Salary: Up to 17 LPA
Band: BPO 4/5
We are hiring an experienced Category Manager with a strong background in Sourcing & Procurement. The ideal candidate should have expertise in category management, strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement analytics, and stakeholder management. Experience with ERP tools such as SAP, Ariba, Oracle, or Coupa is preferred.
Education:
Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10+2+3)
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field (B.Tech preferred)
Procurement certifications (CPSM/CIPS) are an added advantage
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute category management strategies
Perform market, spend, and risk analysis
Manage strategic sourcing projects and supplier negotiations
Evaluate supplier performance and support vendor onboarding
Drive procurement cost savings (Capex & Opex)
Create procurement dashboards and reports using Excel and Power BI
Manage contracts and ensure procurement compliance
Improve procurement processes through automation and digitization
Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve business objectives
Required Skills:
Strong sourcing and procurement experience
Advanced analytical skills with Excel and Power BI
Experience with SAP, Ariba, Oracle, or Coupa
Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Knowledge of procurement regulations and contract management
