Job Description – RTR Analyst

Role/Skill: RTR Analyst
Location: Chennai
Experience: 2 – 8 Years

Education

Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10 + 2 + 3)
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or equivalent
CA / CMA (ICWA) / CPA / CA Inter / CMA Inter preferred

Must-Have Skills

General Ledger (GL) Accounting
Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Month-End Close Activities
ERP experience (SAP/SAP S4 HANA preferred)
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office
Good spoken and written communication skills in English
Exposure to financial reporting and accounting processes

Internal Order Creation
Account Reconciliations
Financial Reporting Support
System Testing and UAT Support
Maintaining Query Logs
Ensuring quality, accuracy, and SLA/TAT adherence

Key Responsibilities

Perform Record-to-Report (RTR) activities, including General Ledger accounting and month-end close.
Prepare and post journal entries accurately and within timelines.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Manage fixed asset accounting and internal order creation.
Support financial reporting and period-end close activities.
Maintain accounting records in SAP/SAP S4 HANA.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
Maintain high quality, accuracy, and turnaround time (TAT).
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues.
Support system testing (UAT) and process improvement initiatives.
Maintain query logs and provide timely resolutions.

Eligibility Criteria

Experience: 2–8 years in Record-to-Report (RTR) / General Ledger Accounting.
Experience with SAP/SAP S4 HANA is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
