We are seeking a Full Stack Software Developer with strong Java and Angular experience to join our engineering team in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have 2.5 to 4 years of hands-on software development experience and be confident working across both backend and frontend technologies.

In this role, you will develop and maintain enterprise web applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular and TypeScript. You will work closely with developers, QA engineers, Business Analysts and Architects to build reliable, scalable software solutions in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain enterprise web applications using Java and Angular.
Develop backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
Build responsive, reusable and maintainable user interfaces using Angular and TypeScript.
Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and third-party services.
Develop business logic according to established architecture and coding standards.
Work with relational databases and write efficient SQL queries.
Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Write unit tests and participate in integration and functional testing.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to software quality improvements.
Collaborate with QA Engineers, Business Analysts, Architects and other development teams.
Participate in Agile/Scrum activities including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.
Contribute to technical documentation and development best practices.
Support application deployment and production issue resolution when required.

Required Skills & Experience

Backend Development

2.5 to 4 years of professional software development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Java.
Solid knowledge of Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
Experience developing RESTful APIs.
Knowledge of exception handling, logging and application security.
Experience working with relational databases.
Strong SQL fundamentals.

Frontend Development

Strong hands-on experience with Angular.
Proficiency in TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
Experience consuming REST APIs.
Knowledge of component-based UI development.
Experience with Angular forms, routing, services and state management.

Development Practices

Experience with Git / Git-based source control.
Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
Knowledge of unit testing and automated testing practices.
Strong debugging, problem-solving and requirements analysis skills.

Good to Have

Experience with microservices architecture.
Knowledge of Docker and containerisation.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS.
Experience with Kubernetes.
Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Experience with automated testing frameworks.
Experience developing enterprise, banking, financial services or other regulated applications.
Knowledge of application performance optimisation and security best practices.

Education

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline is preferred.

Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience, technical skills, interview performance and overall suitability for the role.
