About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled, analytical, and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working with complex financial data, solving problems, improving processes, and ensuring the highest standards of financial accuracy.
You will play a key role in general ledger management, financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end and year-end close, audit support, financial analysis, and process improvement. The ideal candidate is confident working with large datasets, advanced Excel functions, and ERP systems, and can translate financial information into meaningful insights.
What You’ll Do
Prepare, review, and post accurate journal entries in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
Manage and maintain the General Ledger, ensuring transactions are complete, accurate, and properly supported.
Perform account, bank, and balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Prepare and review Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and other financial reports.
Analyze monthly and quarterly financial results, identifying trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
Work confidently with large and complex datasets, including data manipulation, validation, analysis, and reporting.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
Prepare and process accruals, invoices, and other accounting adjustments.
Manage contra-asset accounts and other balance sheet accounts.
Perform bank reconciliations, with multi-currency experience considered an advantage.
Support the preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages.
Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring accurate and timely submission of supporting documentation.
Use ERP systems such as SAP to process, extract, reconcile, and analyze financial information.
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve controls, and automate repetitive tasks.
Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional teams to deliver accurate and timely financial information.
Maintain a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, confidentiality, and financial controls.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting – Accounting background is non-negotiable.
Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong practical knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proven experience preparing and posting journal entries.
Strong knowledge of General Ledger management, Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, and P&L.
Hands-on experience with account reconciliations, accruals, invoices, and bank reconciliations.
Experience supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close.
Demonstrated ability to work with and manipulate large datasets – non-negotiable.
Intermediate to Advanced Excel proficiency – non-negotiable.
Strong working knowledge of Pivot Tables, including the ability to create, manipulate, analyze, and interpret Pivot Tables independently.
Experience using ERP/accounting systems, preferably SAP or similar platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred:
CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification is an advantage, but strong non-CPA candidates are encouraged to apply.
Experience with multi-currency bank reconciliations.
Experience with accounting process automation and continuous improvement.
Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume finance environment.
