Job Summary

We are hiring experienced US Mortgage Underwriters with expertise in end-to-end mortgage underwriting. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of conventional mortgage underwriting, risk assessment, credit analysis, and agency guidelines such as Fannie Mae (FNMA) and Freddie Mac (FHLMC).

Location: Pune / Gandhinagar

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift: US Night Shift

Key Responsibilities

Perform end-to-end underwriting of residential mortgage loan applications.
Review borrower income, employment, assets, credit history, and supporting documentation.
Calculate and validate Debt-to-Income (DTI) and Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratios.
Review property appraisals, title documents, and mortgage insurance (MI) requirements.
Assess loan eligibility based on investor and agency guidelines.
Conduct Quality Control (QC) reviews on closed loan files.
Identify underwriting deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with lending policies and regulatory requirements.
Support month-end reporting and quality initiatives.
Meet service level agreements (SLAs) and productivity targets.
Provide floor support, knowledge sharing, and guidance to team members when required.

Required Qualifications

Graduate in any discipline (Mandatory).
6–12 years of experience in US Mortgage Underwriting.
Strong experience in end-to-end mortgage underwriting.
Hands-on knowledge of Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Prospector (LP).
Experience with Mortgage Quality Control (QC) or Quality Assurance (QA).
Strong understanding of conventional mortgage guidelines.
Good analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Willingness to work US Night Shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Fannie Mae (FNMA) and Freddie Mac (FHLMC) guidelines.
Knowledge of Mortgage Insurance (MI) guidelines.
Exposure to loan quality audits and compliance reviews.
Experience working in Mortgage Operations or Financial Services.

Important Eligibility

Minimum 6 years of US Mortgage Underwriting experience.
Graduation is mandatory.
PAN Card and Date of Birth are required for profile creation.
Former or current TCS/Tata employees are not eligible.
