Job Overview
We are hiring an experienced France Payroll Team Lead with strong expertise in end-to-end France payroll processing and General Ledger (GL) accounting activities. The role requires deep domain knowledge in French payroll operations, compliance, and reconciliation processes within a shared services or BPO environment.
The candidate will be responsible for leading payroll operations, ensuring accuracy of payroll processing, managing month-end close activities, and supporting GL posting and reconciliations related to payroll accounts.
French language proficiency is considered an advantage but is not mandatory; however, strong domain expertise in France payroll processes is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end France payroll processing activities for assigned clients or entities.
Ensure accurate and timely payroll execution in compliance with French statutory regulations.
Manage payroll inputs, validations, calculations, and final payroll processing cycles.
Handle payroll-related General Ledger (GL) postings and reconciliations.
Perform month-end and year-end payroll closing activities.
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, social security rules, and statutory requirements in France payroll.
Review payroll outputs and ensure accuracy of salary payments, deductions, and benefits processing.
Coordinate with HR, Finance, and external stakeholders for payroll inputs and issue resolution.
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and escalations within defined SLAs.
Support audit requirements by providing payroll reports, documentation, and supporting records.
Maintain payroll process documentation and ensure adherence to internal controls.
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives in payroll operations.
Mentor and guide junior team members in payroll execution and issue resolution.
Required Skills
5 to 10 years of experience in payroll operations, with strong specialization in France payroll.
Hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing and payroll lifecycle management.
Strong knowledge of French payroll regulations, statutory compliance, and taxation.
Experience in payroll accounting and GL reconciliation.
Ability to handle payroll month-end closing activities.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience in handling payroll escalations and issue resolution.
Good understanding of payroll systems and HR/payroll tools used in shared services environments.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to lead a team and manage deliverables under strict deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to shared services/BPO payroll environment.
Experience working with European or multi-country payroll processes.
Knowledge of payroll reporting and audit support activities.
French language skills will be an added advantage but are not mandatory if strong domain expertise is present.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have strong France payroll domain experience (mandatory).
Experience in payroll accounting and GL processing is required.
Candidates should be comfortable working in Mumbai location.
Strong leadership experience preferred for team lead responsibilities.
PAN and DOB are required for profile creation**
