About the Role
Provide effective Italian language support for procurement operations on behalf of TCS, ensuring alignment with client legal and statutory requirements, agreed company processes, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Responsibilities
Primary skill requirement: Italian language proficiency for reading, understanding, and communicating business/process-related information.
As an Operations Team Member, work quickly, safely, and efficiently to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Ensure products and procurement requests are processed and delivered within agreed timelines.
Apply a basic understanding of Procurement and Supply Chain Operations as secondary/domain skills while supporting language-based procurement activities.
Receive PR/SC requests, perform standard due diligence and validation checks, and support Purchase Order (PO) creation while interpreting Italian language inputs, as applicable.
Ensure accuracy and SLA compliance by monitoring productivity on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Identify, support, and implement process improvement initiatives.
Maintain and implement a personal development plan in partnership with the immediate supervisor.
Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training manuals while executing assigned tasks.
Ensure quality compliance for all deliverables.
Be flexible to work rotational shifts (5:00 PM – 2:30 AM and 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
Business Partnership
Foster and maintain effective communication within the team.
Build and maintain positive business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Support Italian language communication with stakeholders, where required, to facilitate timely clarification and resolution of operational queries.
Attend weekly calls and other business communications with the client's local teams, as required.
Domain-Specific Responsibilities
Apply a basic understanding of the procurement process cycle and supply chain operations.
Ensure timely and accurate processing, receipt, and validation of procurement requests.
Handle customer and third-party stakeholder queries.
Follow up on open items to ensure timely closure.
Adhere to the customer-provided escalation matrix for unresolved items.
Perform peer-to-peer quality checks to minimize processing errors.
Objective Requirements Related to the Job
Essential Requirements
Primary Skill: Proficiency in Italian, with the ability to read, understand, and communicate process-related information effectively.
Secondary Skills:
Basic knowledge of Procurement Operations and Supply Chain Operations.
Experience or understanding of PR/SC processing, Purchase Order (PO) creation support, and process compliance.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Good understanding of customer quality and productivity expectations.
