Hiring: Record to Report (R2R) Team Leader

Location: Chennai

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Record to Report (R2R) Team Leader to lead end-to-end RTR operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial close, compliance with accounting standards, and high-quality financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in general accounting, financial close, general ledger management, reconciliations, audit support, and stakeholder management while driving process improvements and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) process.

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.

  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and provisions.

  • Maintain General Ledger (GL) integrity and chart of accounts governance.

  • Perform and oversee balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, intercompany, fixed assets, inventory, payroll, and tax accounts.

  • Manage intercompany accounting, eliminations, settlements, and transfer pricing entries.

  • Oversee fixed asset accounting, depreciation, capitalization, disposals, and impairments.

  • Prepare trial balances, financial statements, variance analysis, and management reports.

  • Support internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.

  • Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization initiatives.

  • Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Operations teams to support business objectives.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS accounting standards.

  • Mentor and lead the RTR team while ensuring service quality and SLA adherence.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of regular full-time education (10+2+3).

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance & Accounts (B.Com, M.Com, or CA Inter).

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in Record to Report (R2R) or General Accounting.

  • Strong knowledge of General Ledger, Journal Entries, Financial Close, Reconciliations, Fixed Assets, Intercompany Accounting, and Financial Reporting.

  • Good understanding of GAAP/IFRS accounting standards.

  • Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong communication and team leadership abilities.
