Job Purpose

The role incumbent will be responsible for heading the credit unit for the location & manage end-to-end credit underwriting and disbursal of mortgage retail loans

Role

To manage & build-up a good quality book and ensure that the entire location team is principally aligned towards risk balance and at the same time be able to manage good business volumes

Should have a good hold on the location with an in-depth knowledge of the local property laws etc & has a sound knowledge of the nuances of the local Self-Employed / SME segment

Credit assessment and underwriting of mortgage loan applications based on product and policy norms – end to end from login to disbursal of loans

In-person / virtual meetings and discussions with customers

Ensure continuous support and training for all the verticals at the location

Responsible for maintaining the processing TAT

Coordination with legal, technical and processing vendors and training of vendors and vendor staff on processes and policies

Partner in terms of providing policy inputs to Risk teams which will formulate the right policy for Godrej Capital

Qualification & experience

Years of experience – 5 to 8 years

Mandatory Qualification – Chartered Accountant/ MBA in Finance

Working knowledge of mortgage underwriting especially in the subjective underwriting phase & has worked in the same geography as role

Sound financial knowledge of P&L / Balance Sheet and financial ratios

Work in large and varied teams and deliver individual requirements within the same

Adhere to expected TAT without compromising on quality

Taking of initiatives, strong execution skills, forward thinking ability to anticipate hurdles

Ability to understand customer needs and be responsive

Technology skills – understanding of and working with existing market technologies in the mortgage industry

Exp 5 -8 yrars

There r 2 types of lap

Micro 5lacs to 2 crore roi 10 to 18 percent

Prime 6 to 10 percent

We are looking for micro lap for self employed wid min 35 lacs to 2 CR loan ticket size

No relocation candidates only from chennai
