  • B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter (Finance & Accounts background preferred)


About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Record to Report (RTR) Team Leader to lead end-to-end RTR operations and ensure timely financial close, accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and strong governance.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in General Ledger (GL), Financial Close, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Fixed Assets, Intercompany Accounting, Journal Entries, Financial Reporting, and Team Management while driving operational excellence and continuous process improvements.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Close & Reporting

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.

  • Ensure timely completion of close calendars, cut-offs, and reporting deadlines.

  • Review and approve journal entries, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.

  • Deliver Trial Balance, Financial Statements, Management Reports, and Variance Analysis.

  • Support consolidation and group financial reporting.

General Ledger (GL) Management

  • Maintain General Ledger integrity and Chart of Accounts governance.

  • Review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, adjustments, and provisions.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and company accounting policies.

Balance Sheet Reconciliations

  • Review and approve reconciliations for:

    • Bank Accounts

    • General Ledger

    • Intercompany Accounts

    • Fixed Assets

    • Payroll

    • Inventory

    • VAT/GST

  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation differences and aged items.

Intercompany Accounting

  • Manage intercompany transactions, confirmations, settlements, eliminations, and transfer pricing entries.

  • Resolve timing differences and foreign currency variances.

Fixed Assets Accounting

  • Oversee asset capitalization, depreciation, asset disposals, impairments, and Fixed Asset Register maintenance.

  • Ensure accurate month-end Fixed Asset sub-ledger close.

Audit, Compliance & Controls

  • Support Internal and External Audits.

  • Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley), GAAP, IFRS, and internal financial controls.

  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and process compliance.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and continuous improvement.

  • Drive operational efficiency initiatives across RTR processes.

Stakeholder & Team Management

  • Lead and mentor the RTR team to achieve operational excellence.

  • Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Operations, and Business Finance teams.

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Monitor KPIs, SLAs, quality, and productivity metrics.

Eligibility Criteria

5–8 years of experience in Record to Report (RTR) or General Accounting

Strong experience in Financial Close, General Ledger, Reconciliations, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting

Hands-on knowledge of GAAP / IFRS accounting standards

Proven experience leading finance operations or managing RTR teams
