We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Control Engineer to join a dynamic team. With a focus on the design, construction, and critical operations of HVAC systems, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional BMS solutions. As a Senior Control Engineer, you will work closely with our Design, Construction, and Critical Operation teams to ensure efficient and effective building management.
Job Description:
As a Senior Control Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and managing building management systems. Your expertise in HVAC systems and BMS design will be essential in ensuring optimal performance and maintaining as-built documentations. This role requires collaboration with multiple teams and the ability to work independently while demonstrating resourcefulness.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Design, Construction, and Critical Operation teams to ensure adherence to standards and policies related to BMS systems.
- Develop and implement BMS system-related policies, procedures, best practices, and standards, ensuring local activities comply with these guidelines.
- Interact effectively with internal and external teams, including design engineering, site engineering, regional operations teams, vendors, and consultants, to address project-related matters and maintain consistent policies and standards.
- Diagnose and resolve networking issues that affect BMS system functionality, providing detailed resolutions.
- Utilize open protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU and BACnet to interrogate multiple devices.
- Lead projects of various sizes, ensuring successful implementation and completion.
- Mentor and train local BMS vendors and internal teams, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Identify opportunities for system-level enhancements to mitigate potential problems.
- Perform system maintenance and provide ongoing support for BMS systems.
- Provide onsite support to vendors and consultants, ensuring adherence to project requirements, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Understand and apply PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) and other efficiency calculations within the data center space, correlating BMS data with tenant power usage and presenting relevant information on the customer portal.
Requirements:
- Proven working experience in a Data Center environment.
- Expert knowledge of controls systems, field device selection (Valve, Actuators, Sensors, Differential Pressure Transmitters, etc.).
- Good knowledge of power/energy metering in the Data Center domain is an added advantage.
- Expert-level working knowledge of at least two BMS systems, with preferred experience in Schneider EcoStruxure Building Operation.
- Expert-level working knowledge of system integration, with additional knowledge of web services being an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of IP networks and Windows Server expertise.
- Willingness to travel within the APAC region.
Salary and Benefits:
A competitive salary ranging from MYR 12k-16k, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
