Roles and Responsibilities :

Must have skills:

• Experience on Enterprise SQL Server 2016-2022 environments

• Architect and implement SQL database High Availability and Disaster Recovery strategies

using AlwaysOn, replication, log shipping etc.

• Perform SQL Server performance analysis which includes reviewing query plans, index

usage, and TSQL code reviews.

• Worked with developers and business analysts to create, modify, and tune database

structures.

• Collaborated with application and infrastructure teams to identify solutions to complex

problems and test/ implement new database features.

• Complete requests from application teams for database changes, security changes, data

loads, etc.

• Experience on Replication failure errors and take necessary steps.

• Install and support SQL Server BI components including SSIS, SSRS and SSAS

• Manage database backups and maintain recovery policies and procedures.

• Support ongoing and future database projects based on technology roadmaps.

• Maintain configuration information for the enterprise SQL Server environment, including

details for server, storage, software versions, criticality, confidentiality, licensing, capacity,

and ownership.

• Solving performance problems, query tuning, and optimization.

• SQL code reviews with ability to dissect query plan, T-SQL code

• SQL Server Integration Services, Reporting Services, Analysis Services

• Perform SQL Server software installations, patching, and upgrades.

• Responsible for setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of complex Windows

environments (e.g., clustering, high availability, load balancing, etc.).

• Experience on Storage management techniques , Data Engine Capacity planning,

general database management, Policy based management, Extended events and Traces.

• Exposure to Basic Licensing and support scenarios

Good to have skills:

• Working knowledge of DDL, DML, TSQL, stored procedures, triggers, views, constraints,

cursors

• Experience with PowerShell, including using PowerShell to automate repeatable tasks.

• Use of PowerShell DSC for automating SQL Server installations and configuration

• Experience with Visual Studio for the creation and maintenance of SSRS reports and SSIS

packages.

• Exposure to SQL Server Reporting service ,SQL server Integration Service ,SQL Server

Analysis Service
