Job Summary

We are looking for a Financial Accounting Analyst to support general ledger accounting, financial close, account reconciliations, and reporting activities. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, analytical capabilities, and experience working with ERP systems and Excel. The candidate will contribute to accurate financial reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement across finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily general ledger activities and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.

• Perform month-end closing and period-end accounting activities within agreed timelines.

• Prepare, validate, and post journal entries in accordance with accounting policies.

• Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies.

• Prepare accruals, provisions, and other necessary accounting adjustments.

• Assist with financial reporting, account analysis, and preparation of supporting schedules.

• Analyze general ledger balances and identify unusual movements or potential errors.

• Maintain proper records and documentation to support financial transactions and audit requirements.

• Support intercompany accounting and fixed asset accounting activities, where applicable.

• Follow internal control procedures, including SOX-related requirements.

• Coordinate with finance teams and business stakeholders to resolve accounting queries.

• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve reporting accuracy, and strengthen controls.

Mandatory Skills

• 3–5 years of experience in General Ledger, R2R, or Financial Accounting.

• Practical knowledge of month-end close and journal entry processing.

• Experience in balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.

• Knowledge of accruals, provisions, and financial reporting.

• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, particularly Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or equivalent ERP systems.

• Familiarity with SOX controls and audit requirements.

• Experience in shared services or multinational finance operations.

• Understanding of intercompany transactions and fixed assets.

• ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent accounting qualification, completed or pursuing.
