ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are hiring Lead for HR Operations - German Language to drive end-to-end Hire-to-Retire - H2R operations for global clients. You will lead German HR service delivery, oversee the employee lifecycle, mentor the team, and partner with global HR stakeholders to ensure quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. HR Operations and Service Delivery Leadership:

- Lead Tier-1 and Tier-2 support for German-speaking employees across regions

- Handle HR inquiries across Compensation and Benefits, Payroll, Learning and Development, Time and Attendance, Recruiting, Performance Management, and Employee Relations

- Ensure resolution within SLA / TAT and quality benchmarks

- Act as escalation point for complex and critical cases

- Guide and support HR Operations team members

B. Hire-to-Retire Operations:

- Manage complete employee lifecycle: Onboarding and pre-employment documentation, Employee data management, Job changes, transfers, promotions, organizational updates, Leave management, Offboarding and exit formalities

- Ensure accurate Workday HCM transactions and policy compliance

C. Learning and Development Operations:

- Lead learning administration for global business units

- Coordinate training events and learning programs with vendors, stakeholders, and L&D teams

- Track training completion, learning records, and LMS operations

- Drive standardization and process improvements in Learning Operations

D. Team Leadership and Stakeholder Management:

- Mentor, coach, and develop HR Operations associates

- Conduct quality checks, knowledge sharing sessions, and process trainings

- Collaborate with HRBPs, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Benefits, and Global HR teams

- Represent operations in governance calls and client reviews

E. Data Governance and Compliance:

- Ensure accuracy and integrity of employee data across HR systems

- Adhere to GDPR, data privacy norms, and company policies

- Monitor metrics, dashboards, productivity, and quality reports

- Support internal and external audits

F. Continuous Improvement:

- Identify improvement and automation opportunities

- Contribute to transitions, SOP creation, and knowledge management

- Drive operational excellence through Lean methodologies

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

- Bachelor's in HR, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field

- 8-10 years in HR Shared Services / HR Operations / GBS

- German proficiency - B2 / C1 or higher + strong English communication

- Strong hands-on expertise in end-to-end H2R

- Experience with Workday HCM, ServiceNow, SuccessFactors, or similar HRIS platforms

- Experience supporting global / MNC clients

- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- Prior experience leading HRO teams

- Exposure to Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, and Learning Operations

- Understanding of HR service delivery frameworks and shared services best practices

- Lean Six Sigma / CI certification is a plus

- Workday HCM certification and / or Goethe German certification preferred
