Job Title : Senior Accountant / Entity Controller – F&A
Job Description :
We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant with strong experience in accounting, financial reporting, and entity controllership. The role is responsible for managing accounting and reporting activities for assigned legal entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial close, statutory reporting, reconciliations, compliance, and audit requirements. The position will also involve P&L and Balance Sheet analysis, complex accounting transactions, stakeholder management, process improvement, and finance system initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :
Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities and ensure adherence to close timetables.
Review trial balances, revenue, cost of revenue, operating expenses, and Balance Sheet variances and trends.
Analyze and explain P&L and Balance Sheet variances and provide appropriate commentary.
Handle accounting for complex transactions and direct functional activities of team members where required.
Review, approve, and/or prepare complex manual journal entries.
Ensure accurate and timely posting of entries from sub-ledgers and other sources.
Perform analytical reviews during month-end close and identify and resolve accounting issues.
Prepare and present monthly legal entity reporting packs with P&L and Balance Sheet analysis.
Lead external audit activities, financial statement filings, and other compliance deliverables.
Provide accurate financial accounting information and analysis to tax, controllership, decision-support, and senior management teams.
Execute and maintain relevant accounting control activities for assigned legal entities.
Coordinate with sub-ledger teams and other internal stakeholders for legal entity activities.
Maintain accurate Balance Sheet reconciliations and ensure timely clearance of open items and reconciling differences.
Review critical month-end tasks and reconciliation quality.
Coordinate consolidation and closing of books.
Support internal and external audit testing.
Maintain accurate process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures.
Liaise with onshore partners and provide regular visibility on month-end activities and progress.
Ensure adherence to KPIs, SLAs, accounting controls, and close-calendar requirements.
Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and automation.
Support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives and identify opportunities for Robotic Process Automation.
Support finance-system implementations, upgrades, Business Requirements gathering, and User Acceptance Testing.
Qualifications :
Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
7–10 years of relevant experience in Accounting & Finance, controllership, financial reporting, or entity accounting.
Strong knowledge of advanced Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Oracle, ERP systems, or similar finance applications.
Strong understanding of AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Intercompany, Cash & Bank Clearing, and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
Experience in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, task-management, and communication skills.
Experience with external/internal audits, statutory financial statements, and financial controls.
Exposure to continuous process improvement, Lean/Six Sigma, or RPA is preferred.
Experience with finance system implementations, upgrades, or UAT is an advantage.
Exposure to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable is preferred.
