Job Description

We are hiring a Spanish Payroll Specialist with strong Spanish language proficiency and experience in payroll processing, HRIS platforms, and payroll compliance. The ideal candidate should understand Spanish payroll regulations, including personal income tax (IRPF), social security contributions, statutory benefits, and collective bargaining agreements (Convenios).

The role involves managing end-to-end payroll processing, maintaining accurate employee records, resolving payroll queries, and ensuring compliance with applicable payroll regulations and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Process end-to-end payroll for hourly and salaried employees according to the client's payroll calendar and schedule.

2. Review and validate timekeeping records, payroll adjustments, and employee information changes.

3. Calculate and verify wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, taxes, and statutory contributions accurately.

4. Maintain payroll and employment records in compliance with applicable statutory and country-specific regulations.

5. Respond to employee payroll queries, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate with HR on new hires, terminations, benefits, and employee updates.

Required Skills

1. Spanish Language Proficiency: Fluency in Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

2. Payroll Processing: 2–4 years of experience in payroll processing, payroll systems, or HRIS platforms.

3. Spanish Payroll Compliance: Knowledge of IRPF, Seguridad Social contributions, statutory benefits, and Convenios.

4. Payroll Systems: Familiarity with ADP, Paychex, Deel, SAP, Workday, or similar payroll/HRIS platforms.

5. Analytical and Professional Skills: Strong attention to detail, deadline management, confidentiality, and problem-solving abilities.

Good to Have

• Experience handling multi-country payroll for regions such as the US, Canada, UK, Switzerland, Malaysia, UAE, or Saudi Arabia.

• Experience managing international payroll operations and employee payroll queries.
