Role: Telecom Network Planning Associate - Ethernet Planning
Location: Hyderabad | Kolkata | Chennai
Experience: 1-5 Yrs
Band: BPO 1
Salary: up to 7 LPA
Skill: International Voice
Shift: UK Shifts primarily but candidate should be ok with 24x7 shifts
About the Role:
We are looking for highly motivated telecom professionals with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of network planning, customer delivery, and telecom order management. The role involves supporting enterprise customers through the end-to-end delivery journey of Ethernet and Fibre services while coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful network planning and service activation.
This is an ideal opportunity for candidates who have experience in FTTx, Ethernet provisioning, network planning, service delivery, telecom operations, or customer engagement functions. Professionals who can combine the strengths of a telecom planner and a customer-facing coordinator.
Must Have Skills:
• Excellent spoken and written English communication
• Strong customer handling and voice support experience
• Understanding of telecom order lifecycle and service delivery processes
• Knowledge of Ethernet or Fibre network concepts
• Experience in FTTX/FTTP planning or delivery environments
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple customer orders simultaneously
• Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills
• Proficiency in Excel, reporting, and operational tracking
Good-to-Have Skills:
• Experience in Telecom Planning & Delivery projects
• Exposure to OSS/BSS systems
• Understanding of network inventory tools
• Knowledge of telecom provisioning and assurance processes
• Experience working with UK, European, or global telecom operators
• Familiarity with service activation, commissioning, and network build processes
• Experience in customer-facing operational environments
Key Responsibilities:
• Communicate confidently with customers and senior stakeholders.
• Understand how Fibre and Ethernet services are designed and delivered.
• Explain technical concepts in simple business language.
• Drive customer satisfaction while managing delivery risks.
• Possess a strong ownership mindset and demonstrate proactive problem solving.
• Customer & Voice Engagement
• Engage directly with customers through calls, virtual meetings, and written communications to book engineering visit appointments.
• Drive customer conversations related to service delivery, appointments, milestones, and installation readiness.
• Manage customer expectations and provide proactive updates throughout the order lifecycle.
• Handle escalations professionally and ensure exceptional customer experience.
• Coordinate with field engineers, delivery teams, planners, and service managers.
Telecom Order Journey Management:
• Manage telecom orders through the complete delivery lifecycle.
• Understand and interpret order milestones, dependencies, delivery blockers, and risks.
• Track progress across planning, survey, design, build, commissioning, and service activation stages.
• Ensure timely stakeholder communication and governance updates.
• Support order orchestration activities and delivery assurance.
Stakeholder Management:
• Collaborate with customers, planners, engineers, project managers, and external partners.
• Participate in customer governance calls and operational reviews.
• Provide concise business and technical updates to leadership and customers.
• Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience:
• 1 to 5 years of experience in Telecom Operations, Network Planning, Ethernet Delivery, Fibre Planning, Service Delivery, or Customer Experience Management.
Education:
• Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10 + 2 + 3)
• Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines. Any full time graduate with relevant experience can apply.
