Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Employee Master Data Team Lead with strong expertise in SAP HCM, Employee Central (EC), Master Data Management (MDM), reconciliation, MIS reporting, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
The candidate will be responsible for managing and reviewing employee master data transactions, ensuring data accuracy and governance, resolving discrepancies, preparing MIS reports, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Strong English communication and stakeholder-management skills are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and review Employee Master Data Management (MDM) transaction-processing activities.
Handle employee master data changes and updates in SAP HCM and Employee Central (EC).
Ensure employee data is accurate, complete, timely, and compliant with defined processes.
Perform regular data reconciliation between systems and identify discrepancies.
Investigate and resolve data mismatches, exceptions, and transaction-related issues.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring data-quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Prepare, validate, and publish MIS reports, dashboards, and operational metrics.
Track transaction volumes, ageing, accuracy, exceptions, and other key performance indicators.
Ensure adherence to Data Governance, SOX, audit, internal control, and compliance requirements.
Maintain appropriate documentation and support internal/external audits as required.
Coordinate with HR, HR Operations, IT, and other stakeholders to resolve master-data issues.
Provide timely responses and support to stakeholders regarding employee master data queries.
Identify process gaps and recommend opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and automation.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of process changes.
Provide guidance and support to team members and ensure adherence to defined SLAs and quality standards.
Required Skills & Experience
6–10 years of relevant experience in Employee Master Data, HR Operations, HR Shared Services, or related processes.
Strong hands-on experience with SAP HCM and Employee Central (EC) – mandatory.
Proven experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) – mandatory.
Hands-on experience in reconciliation and MIS reporting.
Strong understanding of employee/master data processes and data-quality principles.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly:
MS Excel
MS PowerPoint
MS Outlook
Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and drive timely resolution.
Good stakeholder-management and coordination skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within defined timelines and SLAs.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to Data Quality and Data Governance frameworks.
Experience with SOX controls, audit requirements, and compliance processes.
Experience in HR Shared Services or Global Business Services environments.
Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.
Experience in process improvement, automation, or standardization initiatives.

Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, communication skills, and the ability to drive process improvements are essential for success in this role.
