Associate Manager – Record to Report [RTR]

Role Overview
Lead end-to-end financial close and reporting for assigned entities/BUs. Ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial data. Drive operational excellence in GL, reconciliations, statutory compliance, audits, and team management while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Close & Reporting: Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close. Review/approve JEs, accruals, prepayments, provisions. Enforce SLAs, cut-off, and close calendars. Prepare trial balances, financial statements, variance analysis, and support group/statutory reporting
- General Ledger & Accounting: Govern GL integrity, COA structure, and balance sheet hygiene. Ensure IFRS/US GAAP/Local GAAP compliance. Guide team on complex accounting treatments
- Reconciliations: Drive timely bank, intercompany, fixed asset, payroll, tax, and other BS reconciliations. Resolve aged items and improve reconciliation quality
- Intercompany & Fixed Assets: Manage intercompany postings, confirmations, settlements, and eliminations. Oversee asset capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals, and reconciliations
- Audit, Controls & Compliance: Maintain SOX compliance and internal controls. Support internal/external audits. Identify control gaps and drive remediation
- Team Leadership: Coach, develop, and manage RTR professionals. Handle performance, workload, and capability building
- Process Transformation: Drive Lean/Six Sigma/RPA/automation initiatives to standardize and optimize RTR. Monitor KPIs for productivity and quality
- Stakeholder Management: Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Procurement, Payroll, and Business Finance. Act as escalation point and provide financial insights to leadership
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field. CPA/CA/ACCA/CMA preferred
- Experience: 7–10 years in RTR, GL, or Financial Accounting. Prior team leadership in Shared Services/BPO/GCC/MNC required
- Technical Skills: IFRS/US GAAP, Financial Reporting, Internal Controls, ERP [SAP/Oracle/BlackLine/PeopleSoft]
- Competencies: Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
