Role: Delivery Manager – UK Payroll
Location: Chennai
Band: BPO 6
Experience: 12–15 Years
Shift: 12:30 PM IST – 11:30 PM IST (Must be flexible for Night & Rotational Shifts)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Delivery Manager – UK Payroll to lead large-scale payroll operations, manage global payroll delivery, and drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in end-to-end UK Payroll, client engagement, vendor governance, team leadership, and compliance management while leading high-performing payroll teams.
Must Have Skills
End-to-End UK Payroll (Source to Gross, Gross to Net, Net to Disbursement & GL)
Strong knowledge of UK Payroll statutory compliance and HMRC regulations
Client Relationship & Stakeholder Management
Vendor Management & Governance
Team Management (50+ Members)
Internal & External Audit Management
Payroll Operations Delivery
Process Improvement & Continuous Transformation
Key Responsibilities
• Manage complete UK Payroll delivery ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
• Handle multi-country payroll operations in a vendor-managed environment.
• Lead payroll vendors and ensure SLA adherence, governance, and quality delivery.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, Payroll, Helpdesk, R2R, and Application Support teams.
• Manage payroll-related employee and client escalations.
• Drive process improvements and operational excellence initiatives.
• Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly governance meetings with clients and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, statutory regulations, and audit requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and evidence.
• Manage large payroll teams (50+ members) across multiple locations and countries.
• Lead transition activities and onboarding of new countries into payroll operations.
• Collaborate with technology teams to resolve payroll system and integration issues.
• Liaise with clients, employees, payroll vendors, and HMRC for payroll-related matters.
• Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction while ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance.
Required Experience
12–15 years of Payroll Operations experience
Extensive experience in End-to-End UK Payroll
Experience managing global/multi-country payroll
Strong exposure to payroll systems and HR-to-Payroll-to-Finance integrations
Experience handling senior client stakeholders
Strong leadership experience managing large teams
Vendor governance and delivery management experience
