Role/Skill: Direct Sourcing Lead / Assistant Manager / Manager

Location: Hyderabad
Experience: 8–15 Years
Band: BPO 4/5/6
Salary: Up to ₹20 LPA

Role Summary

Lead end-to-end direct sourcing strategy for production materials, components, and supplier partnerships to ensure continuity of supply, cost competitiveness, quality alignment, and risk-managed procurement operations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations, or a related discipline.

Preferred: MBA or relevant Procurement/Supply Chain certifications.

Experience Required

10+ years of experience in Direct Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Category Management.
Strong exposure to supplier negotiations and manufacturing or operations-linked sourcing.
Experience in supplier relationship management, contract negotiations, and sourcing strategy execution.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute category sourcing strategies for direct materials aligned with business demand, cost, and quality objectives.
Lead supplier identification, qualification, onboarding, negotiations, and performance governance.
Drive commercial negotiations covering pricing, payment terms, contracts, lead times, and service commitments.
Collaborate with Planning, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Engineering teams to align sourcing decisions with business priorities.
Monitor market trends, commodity movements, supplier capacity, and supply risks to ensure continuity of supply.
Lead RFx processes, bid evaluations, supplier selection, and governance approvals.
Establish supplier scorecards, performance reviews, and corrective action plans.
Drive savings initiatives, value engineering opportunities, working capital improvements, and supply base optimization.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contract controls, approval thresholds, and audit requirements.
Mentor team members and support process standardization, reporting, and best practices.
