Employee Data Governance Specialist (SME)

Location: Mumbai
Experience: 4–8 Years

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Employee Data Governance Specialist (SME) to support HR operations for onshore employees with a strong focus on effectiveness, efficiency, data accuracy, and customer service. The role involves managing HR transactions, employee data and records, Workday workflows, ServiceNow cases, and reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end Hire-to-Retire HR transactions and Employee Data Management activities.
Process HR lifecycle events, including promotions, personal data changes, separations, transfers, cost center changes, and compensation changes.
Handle and resolve Workday workflows and ServiceNow cases efficiently.
Manage Workday Inbox and filter activities.
Validate employee data and records to maintain strong data hygiene and accuracy.
Prepare and publish weekly and monthly reports.
Support Workday reporting and data validation activities.
Perform testing activities using the Workday Sandbox environment.
Coordinate with stakeholders and resolve HR operations-related issues within defined timelines.
Coach and support team members when required.
Conduct effective training sessions and lead by example.
Support pilot transitions, where required.
Maintain confidentiality while managing sensitive employee information.
Work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines.

Required Skills & Experience

4–6 years of experience supporting US and Europe HRO verticals.
Expert-level knowledge of Workday and ServiceNow.
Strong experience in Hire-to-Retire processes, Employee Data Management, HR Administration, and Employee Lifecycle Events.
Experience in processing HR transactions within relevant Workday modules.
Knowledge of Workday Inbox and Filters Management.
Experience in validating employee records and maintaining data accuracy.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and resolution skills.
Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Ability to coach team members and deliver effective training sessions.

Good to Have

Experience in Workday Reporting.
Knowledge of Workday Sandbox for testing.
Experience in handling pilot transitions.
Strong reporting and data validation skills.

Education

Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
Basic knowledge of MS Office applications.

Working Conditions

Flexible to work in 24×7 shift timings.
Work from Office – Mumbai.
Willingness to work extended hours when required to meet business deadlines.
