Hiring: German Payroll Specialist – International Payroll Operations

About the Role

We are hiring an experienced German Payroll Specialist with strong German language proficiency and hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing.

The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of German tax laws, social security regulations, collective agreements (Tarifverträge), wage types and statutory benefits.

Key Responsibilities

1. Process end-to-end payroll for hourly and salaried employees according to client payroll schedules.

2. Calculate and validate wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, taxes and payroll adjustments.

3. Review employee timekeeping records and payroll-related changes to ensure accuracy.

4. Maintain payroll and employment records in compliance with German statutory regulations and organizational policies.

5. Handle employee payroll and HR-related queries and resolve discrepancies within defined timelines.

6. Coordinate with HR teams regarding new hires, terminations, benefits and employee updates.

7. Maintain accurate payroll information using HRIS and payroll processing platforms.

8. Ensure timely payroll completion while maintaining data confidentiality and accuracy.

Mandatory Skills & Requirements

• 3–8 years of overall relevant experience.

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing, payroll systems or HRIS platforms.

• Fluency in German (written and verbal) is mandatory.

• Strong understanding of German Payroll Processing.

• Knowledge of German taxation and social security regulations.

• Understanding of collective agreements (Tarifverträge), wage types and statutory benefits.

• Experience processing and reviewing end-to-end payroll.

• Exposure to ADP, Paychex, Deel, SAP, Workday or similar payroll systems preferred.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication, professionalism and confidentiality.

• Ability to manage deadlines in a demanding environment.

Good to Have

Multicountry payroll experience covering the US, Canada, UK, Switzerland, Malaysia, UAE, Saudi Arabia or other international markets.

Important Eligibility Criteria

• Must be comfortable working from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM IST.

• Former TCS employees are not eligible.

• PAN and Date of Birth are required for candidate profile creation during recruitment.
