What You'll Do

As an HR Specialist, you'll take end-to-end ownership of employee relations cases while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable labor regulations.

Employee Relations & Case Management

  • Manage the complete lifecycle of HR disciplinary cases, from case initiation through resolution.

  • Handle cases involving attendance management, call avoidance, job abandonment, unauthorized settlements, misconduct, and other employee relations matters.

  • Ensure all cases are managed consistently in accordance with company policies, HR best practices, and applicable legal requirements.

  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.

HR Policy Advisory

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers by providing guidance on employee relations policies and disciplinary procedures.

  • Interpret and apply HR policies consistently across different situations.

  • Support the development and continuous improvement of employee relations policies and procedures.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and compliant case documentation.

  • Prepare reports, trend analyses, dashboards, and presentations related to employee relations cases.

  • Identify recurring issues and recommend policy or process improvements.

Employee Support

  • Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and active listening while supporting employees throughout disciplinary processes.

  • Explain HR procedures clearly and ensure employees understand available resources and next steps.

  • Foster a fair, respectful, and compliant employee experience.

Analysis & Decision Making

  • Evaluate complex employee relations issues using sound judgment and critical thinking.

  • Make informed recommendations based on company policy, previous case precedents, and applicable employment regulations.

  • Manage multiple high-priority cases independently while maintaining quality and compliance.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with HR teams, managers, legal stakeholders, and business leaders to deliver consistent employee relations support.

  • Contribute to initiatives that improve HR processes, case management tools, and operational efficiency.

  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to strengthen HR service delivery.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 5–8 years of HR experience, with strong expertise in Employee Relations and HR Case Management.

  • Proven experience managing disciplinary cases from initiation through resolution.

  • Experience supporting US HR operations or working within a US employee relations environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple complex cases while meeting deadlines.

  • Comfortable taking and making calls with clients, managers, and employees.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.

  • Working knowledge of US labor laws, employment practices, and disciplinary procedures.

  • Experience working in shared services, HR operations, BPO, or global HR environments.

  • Experience using HR case management or HRIS platforms.
