Lead Global Payroll Operations
Are you an experienced Payroll professional with expertise in multi-country payroll processing, compliance, and vendor management? What You'll Do
As the HRO Payroll Assistant Manager, you'll oversee end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing while maintaining compliance with international regulations and organizational policies.
Global Payroll Operations
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees across multiple countries.
Calculate salaries, overtime, commissions, bonuses, statutory deductions, taxes, and benefits accurately.
Ensure payroll is processed accurately and delivered within established timelines.
Coordinate payroll activities across different countries while supporting diverse payroll requirements.
Payroll Data Management
Create, maintain, and update employee payroll records and assignment details within payroll systems.
Ensure payroll master data is accurate, complete, and compliant.
Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and data validation to maintain data integrity.
Generate payroll registers, payslips, and payroll reports for business stakeholders.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international payroll regulations, tax laws, and employment legislation.
Support statutory reporting and year-end payroll activities.
Maintain compliance with internal controls and data privacy regulations.
Assist with internal and external payroll audits by providing required documentation and reports.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Partner with third-party payroll providers to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are achieved.
Coordinate legislative updates and payroll process improvements with external payroll vendors.
Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees, HR teams, Finance, and external partners.
Escalate and resolve payroll issues in a timely and professional manner.
Payroll Reporting & Financial Support
Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and analytics for Finance and senior leadership.
Validate payroll outputs through reconciliation checks and exception reporting.
Support financial reporting and payroll-related business decisions with accurate payroll data.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline payroll operations.
Support implementation of payroll system enhancements and new payroll processes.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
8–10 years of experience in Payroll Operations, with significant exposure to multi-country payroll.
Strong knowledge of:
International payroll processes
Payroll legislation
Tax regulations
Employment laws across multiple countries
Hands-on experience with enterprise payroll systems and HR technology platforms.
Strong understanding of payroll audits, reconciliations, and statutory compliance.
Experience working with third-party payroll vendors.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage confidential employee information with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
