Job Overview

We are looking for a Network Engineer with 1–5 years of experience in networking, telecommunications, and telecom service provisioning. The candidate will support the configuration, provisioning, and troubleshooting of telecom services and network infrastructure, ensuring service quality and operational efficiency.

Candidates should have a sound understanding of networking fundamentals, telecom technologies, access networks, network elements, and communication protocols. Knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, or Nokia platforms and a CCNA certification or training will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, provision, and support telecom services in accordance with defined operational procedures.

• Support network configuration, service activation, and provisioning activities.

• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues involving routers, switches, firewalls, and access network elements.

• Work with last-mile access networks and telecom technologies, including FTTB, FTTN, VDSL, copper, and GPON.

• Monitor network performance and assist in resolving service disruptions and configuration issues.

• Understand network topology, switching systems, cabling, and fibre-optic infrastructure.

• Support LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments.

• Work with network protocols and services, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SMTP, NTP, SNMP, and VoIP.

• Apply knowledge of ATM, MPLS, Frame Relay, and Metro Ethernet technologies where applicable.

• Coordinate with internal teams and relevant stakeholders to resolve network and provisioning issues.

• Maintain accurate technical documentation, configuration records, and incident updates.

• Follow established troubleshooting procedures, service-level requirements, and operational guidelines.

• Work in rotational shifts, including night shifts, as required by business operations.

Required Skills

• Fundamentals of computer networking and telecommunications.

• Telecom service provisioning and configuration.

• Network troubleshooting and connectivity management.

• Knowledge of last-mile access networks and network elements.

• Understanding of FTTB, FTTN, VDSL, copper, and GPON technologies.

• Knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, and network topology.

• Understanding of LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructures.

• Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SMTP, NTP, SNMP, and VoIP.

• Basic knowledge of ATM, MPLS, Frame Relay, and Metro Ethernet.

• Good communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work in a shift-based operational environment.

Preferred Technical Knowledge

Experience or exposure to the following platforms and technologies will be an advantage:

• Vendors: Nokia, Juniper, and Cisco.

• Network Equipment: Routers, switches, firewalls, and relevant network elements.

• Platforms: Nokia 78xx and 65xx series, where applicable.

• Certifications: CCNA certified or CCNA trained.

Educational Qualifications

Candidates should have one of the following qualifications:

• B.E. in Electronics & Communication or Information Technology.

• Diploma in Electronics & Communication.

• BCA with relevant networking or telecommunications experience.

Experience Requirements

• 1–5 years of experience in networking, telecommunications, or a related technical support environment.

• Exposure to telecom service provisioning, configuration, or network operations is preferred.

• Candidates with relevant networking knowledge and a willingness to learn telecom technologies are encouraged to apply.

Shift & Work Location

• Shift: Rotational shifts, primarily night shifts, depending on business requirements.

• Work Location: Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, or Kolkata, based on the selected job code.

• Candidates must be comfortable working from the assigned location and in the required shift schedule.
