About the role

We are hiring a Record to Report (R2R) Subject Matter Expert who is a Chartered Accountant in Noida. You will handle the more complex and exception-based R2R transactions, including journal entries, month-end close, reporting, fixed asset and lease accounting, and cash and balance sheet reconciliations. You will also review the work of senior associates, act as a buddy to new joiners and manage customer communication. The role suits a CA with 8 to 10 years of experience, a proven track record as an SME and transition experience. It is an onsite role on the ANZ shift (starting around 2 to 3 AM IST), with a salary of up to ₹9 LPA.

Key responsibilities

Accounting and close

• Handle complex processes and exception transactions that need analytical judgment, or a higher volume of complex transactions
  
• Prepare and post journal entries and run month-end close activities
  
• Manage reporting, fixed asset accounting and lease accounting
  
• Reconcile cash and other balance sheet items, researching open items and driving them to closure
  
• Complete activities in line with the customer’s statement of work and meet TAT and accuracy targets
  

Quality, controls and improvement

• Run quality checks on Senior Associates’ and SMEs’ work and give feedback
  
• Evaluate internal control gaps and run governance with internal and external stakeholders to reduce risk
  
• Find potential errors and repeat issues and put fixes in place
  
• Find process gaps, add controls and monitor closure
  
• Take up process improvement projects for yourself and the team and drive them to completion
  

Customer and team

• Give the customer daily progress updates through emails and calls
  
• Build dashboards and reports in Excel and PowerPoint
  
• Act as a buddy to new joiners and Senior Associates who need support
  
• Send hourly and end-of-day status updates
  

Work expectations

• Work from the office as standard
  
• Take no unscheduled leave without Team Lead consent
  
• Be open to extended hours during errors, backlogs, and month-end and quarter-end close
  

Required qualifications and experience

• Chartered Accountant (CA)
  
• Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10 + 2 + 3)
  
• 8 to 10 years of R2R experience, with proven SME expertise
  
• Transition experience
  
• Ability to manage the customer relationship
  
• Strong working knowledge of journal entries, month-end close, fixed assets, lease accounting and reconciliations
  
• Self-reliant, with strong analytical skills
  
• Willing to work the ANZ shift from the office
  

Preferred qualifications

• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
