Payroll Specialist – UK Payroll

Role/Skill: UK Payroll
Location: Kolkata
Band: BPO 1/2
Salary Package: ₹5 – ₹9 LPA (depending on experience & current CTC)

Role Overview

We are hiring a Payroll Specialist (UK Payroll) to manage end-to-end payroll operations across multiple geographies including UK, US, Europe & APAC. The role requires strong payroll knowledge, compliance expertise, and the ability to handle complex calculations while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

* Handle end-to-end payroll processing (pre-payroll, gross-to-net, post-payroll validation)
* Process payroll for weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly cycles
* Perform payroll reconciliation, audit, and reporting
* Manage employee data, records, and HR transactions (Hire to Retire)
* Handle manual calculations including arrears, retro pay, tax adjustments
* Process timesheets, overtime, statutory leaves
* Manage statutory payments (sickness, maternity, paternity, adoption)
* Handle overpayments, garnishments, loans, and deductions
* Support quarter-end and year-end payroll activities
* Maintain compliance with UK, US, and APAC payroll regulations
* Coordinate with onshore stakeholders via email/voice

Eligibility Criteria

* Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in any discipline
* Experience: 3–6 years in Payroll (UK/Global Payroll)

Must-Have Skills

* Strong experience in UK Payroll (mandatory)
* Knowledge of Payroll reconciliation, audits, and reporting
* Hands-on experience with SAP / Workday / ERP systems
* Ability to perform manual gross-to-net calculations
* Experience in handling complex payroll scenarios
* Good understanding of payroll legislations (UK/US/APAC)
* Strong communication skills (email & voice)

Additional Skills

* Experience in Hire-to-Retire HR operations
* Exposure to multi-country payroll
* Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Experience in stakeholder/client handling

Working Conditions

* Willingness to work in 24×7 shifts (US / AUS shifts)
* Flexibility for extended hours during payroll cycles
* Ability to deliver training sessions when required
