Job Description

Tech Mahindra is hiring Interpretation Support Associates fluent in Cantonese and English for a healthcare interpretation process. The role involves providing accurate, real-time, over-the-phone consecutive interpretation between English-speaking healthcare professionals and Cantonese-speaking patients in the US.

Key Responsibilities

Provide real-time, meaning-for-meaning interpretation over the phone.
Interpret conversations between doctors, medical staff, and patients.
Accurately interpret without adding, omitting, summarizing, or changing the speaker's message.
Maintain first-person interpretation and remain neutral throughout calls.
Handle healthcare, medical, insurance, emergency, finance, and other support-related conversations.
Maintain professional tone, clarity, pronunciation, and pace.
Handle sensitive and urgent conversations calmly and professionally.
Follow confidentiality, privacy, data protection, and interpreter ethics guidelines.
Maintain strong knowledge of healthcare and medical terminology.
Participate in training, quality reviews, coaching, and feedback sessions.
Maintain reliable attendance and schedule adherence.
Work independently in a remote environment while maintaining communication with supervisors and team members.

Required Skills

Strong fluency in Cantonese and English.

Ability to interpret accurately and completely.

Eligibility

High School Graduate, SPM, Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree.
Freshers and experienced candidates can apply.
Candidates with experience in interpretation, translation, healthcare, customer service, contact center, BPO, media, or journalism are preferred.
Must be fluent in Cantonese and English.
Must be comfortable working permanent night shifts.
Must have a stable internet connection and a suitable work-from-home environment.

Shift Timings

9:00 PM – 6:00 AM
10:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Assessment Requirement

Candidates must complete the relevant assessment before proceeding to the interview stage.

Candidates should complete the assessment and inform the recruitment team which assessment they have completed.
