join our team as a Cantonese Interpretation Support Associate and provide real-time interpretation services for healthcare professionals and patients in the United States. This is a Work From Home opportunity where you'll facilitate accurate communication during live over-the-phone interpretation (OPI) calls while maintaining professionalism, neutrality, and confidentiality.

This role is ideal for candidates with excellent Cantonese and English communication skills. Fresh graduates with strong language proficiency are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Interpretation Support

Provide accurate, consecutive over-the-phone interpretation between English-speaking healthcare professionals and Cantonese-speaking patients.
Interpret conversations without adding, omitting, or altering the intended meaning.
Maintain first-person interpretation to ensure natural communication.
Support healthcare-related conversations including appointments, medical consultations, insurance inquiries, prescriptions, emergency situations, and patient care.

Quality & Compliance

Maintain confidentiality and comply with company policies and interpreter ethics.
Remain neutral and unbiased during all interactions.
Ensure high levels of accuracy, professionalism, and customer service.
Handle emotionally sensitive and urgent healthcare conversations with composure.

Performance & Collaboration

Participate in mandatory training sessions, coaching, and quality reviews.
Improve performance through feedback and quality assurance evaluations.
Meet attendance, schedule adherence, and productivity expectations.
Work independently while maintaining communication with supervisors and team members.

Qualifications

Education

High School Graduate, SPM, Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree.

Experience

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Experience in interpretation, translation, healthcare, customer service, BPO, contact center, journalism, or media is an advantage.

Language Requirements

Native or fluent Cantonese.
Advanced English communication skills (B2/C1 level preferred).
Excellent listening, speaking, reading, and comprehension skills.
