Job Title: SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (FULL STACK) – JAVA & ANGULAR
Location: Malaysia
Employment Type: Full-Time

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Full Stack Software Developer with strong hands-on experience in Java and Angular to join our engineering team in Malaysia.
The successful candidate will work across both backend and frontend development, building scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and TypeScript. You will collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, Business Analysts, and Architects to deliver high-quality software solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications using Java and Angular
• Develop backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
• Build responsive, reusable, and maintainable user interfaces using Angular and TypeScript
• Integrate frontend applications with backend REST APIs and third-party services
• Implement business logic following established architecture and coding standards
• Work with relational databases and write efficient SQL queries
• Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions
• Write unit tests and participate in integration and functional testing
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to code quality improvements
• Collaborate with QA, Business Analysts, Architects, and other development teams
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
• Contribute to technical documentation and development best practices
• Support application deployment and production issue resolution when required
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Backend:
• 3–4 years of professional software development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Framework/Spring Boot
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Experience developing RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of exception handling, logging, and application security
• Experience with relational databases
• Strong SQL fundamentals
Frontend:
• Strong hands-on experience with Angular
• Proficiency in TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience consuming REST APIs
• Experience with component-based UI development
• Knowledge of Angular forms, routing, services, and state management
Development Practices:
• Git/Git-based source control
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Knowledge of unit testing and automated testing practices
• Strong requirements analysis, debugging, and problem-solving skills
GOOD TO HAVE
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Knowledge of Docker and containerization
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Azure or AWS
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Experience with automated testing frameworks
• Experience working on enterprise, banking, financial services, or other regulated applications
• Knowledge of application performance optimization and security best practices

EDUCATION
A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
