SSR Reporting Specialist / Data Engineer (MSSQL & SSRS)

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Employment Type: Full-Time (Local Malaysians Only)

Salary: RM 4,000 – RM 6,000 / month

About the Role

We are seeking a Reporting-Focused Data Engineer / MSSQL Developer with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server technologies. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and support of production reporting systems using SSRS, SSIS, and T-SQL.

You will work closely with enterprise business teams to deliver high-accuracy paginated reports, automate file-based integrations (SFTP, PGP encryption, PowerShell), and ensure stable ETL operations in a banking/enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

SSRS Report Development: Design, build, optimize, and maintain paginated, parameterized reports, automated subscriptions, datasets, and data sources.

Database & T-SQL Engineering: Write complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers; perform query tuning and SQL Server Agent job administration.

ETL & System Integration: Develop and deploy SSIS packages for data transformation, automated file transfers (SSH/SFTP), and batch processing with PGP/GPG encryption.

Operations & Support: Troubleshoot production reporting issues, perform data reconciliation, and ensure high availability and data integrity for business/regulatory reporting.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software/Data Engineering, or related fields.

Experience: 3–5 years of dedicated Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) experience.

Primary Skill: Intermediate-to-advanced SSRS report design and performance tuning.

Technical Stack: Advanced T-SQL, SSIS, SQL Server Agent, PowerShell, Python scripting, SFTP, and PGP/GPG file encryption.

Eligibility: Malaysian Citizens only.

A reporting-focused Data Engineer with strong SSRS development experience,

of supporting both project delivery and production operations in a banking or
enterprise environment.
